This Eastlake style house was built in 1891 by Albert Kuna Sr. In 1915 the house was bought by Lloyd C. Stark, one of the owners of the family-owned nursery business, Stark Brothers, which was started in 1816, and is the oldest nursery in the country. In 1937, Lloyd C. Stark became the governor of Missouri and held that office until 1941.
