[ENG] "The history of the chapel moved from Grodzisk dates back to 1709. Marek Antoni Count Butler, starost of Prensk and Drohicz, founded a Uniate church in Grodzisk, dedicated to the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It was opened for use in 1715. In 1839, after the union was abolished by the tsarist government, the Uniate church was converted into an Orthodox church. When a brick Orthodox church was built next to it in 1887-1891, the former Uniate church was closed. After World War I, the church was incorporated into the Orthodox parish of the Protection of the Mother of God in Czarna Cerkiewna. After Poland regained independence in 1918, the church was returned to the Catholics and appropriate adaptations were made. On March 5, 1923, the Catholics officially regained the deserted, former Uniate church, rectory and benefice.
In the years 1987-1990 in Grodzisk a new brick church was built, since then the old wooden building has not been used for liturgical purposes. The parish priest, Fr. Henryk Kosz, together with the parish council agreed to move the building to Koryciny to save it from total destruction.
On July 2, 2016 the blessing of the chapel under the invocation of Our Lady of the Berries took place. In Poland there was a common belief that this day, which is also the Feast of Our Lady of the Berries, is the initial date for picking berries without harming one's health."
The church is still in use, and pastoral ministry is provided by priests from the Roman Catholic parish in Rudka.
