"Rosenkrantztårnet er et kombinert bolig- og forsvarstårn, opprinnelig bygget omkring år 1270 av middelalderkongen Magnus Laga-bøte. Som en hjørnesten i Bergenhus festning er tårnet blitt ombygget mange ganger for å tilfredsstille nye herrer og behov. Innenfor vil du lære om dette og oppleve de forskjellige byggefaser. I dag anses Rosenkrantztårnet som Norges vigtigste renessansebygg og er en kraftfull påminnelse om Bergens fortid som maktsentrum."
EN: "The Rosenkrantz Tower is a combined residence and defense tower, originally built around 1270 by the medieval King Magnus Lagabøte. As a cornerstone of the Bergenhus fortress, the tower has been remodeled several times to serve new masters and purposes. Inside you will learn about this and experience the different building fases. Today the Rosenkrantz Tower is considered Norways most important Renaissance building and is a powerful reminder of Bergen's past as a center of power.
