Most rozsuwany w Darlówku

W latach 80. W jego miejsce powstal nowoczesny most rozsuwany, otwarty w 1988 roku. To jedyny tego typu most w Polsce i jeden z zaledwie trzech w calej Europie!

Most nazwano imieniem kapitana Witolda Huberta.

The Sliding Bridge in Darlówko

In the 1980s, the old drawbridge over the Wieprza River, which connected East and West Darlówko, was replaced by a unique sliding bridge. Built in 1988, it stands on the site of the former drawbridge and remains the only sliding bridge in Poland—one of only three in Europe!

The bridge is named after Captain Witold Hubert. It is operated from a control tower affectionately nicknamed “the UFO” or “Donald Duck.”

The opening and closing of the bridge is a fascinating sight, especially around 6:00 a.m. when fishing boats head out to sea, and again in the afternoon, around 3:00–4:00 p.m., when they return. During the summer season, a water tram also passes beneath the bridge, traveling along the Wieprza River.

This one-of-a-kind structure is well worth seeing if you're spending your holidays in Darlówko—an engineering gem in a seaside town!
