The relief art is located outside the walls of Amadi, a couple of meters away from the so called Mossul Gate (or Bahdinan Gate), a historical gate (13th Century) of the village leading to the road heading to Mossul.
The relief art sculpture dates from the Parthian age (1st century BC–2nd century AD) and represents a single human figure. It is said that the spot was used by the king to observe the flatlands ahead.
