Several passenger trains stop here, daily. The next station going south is in Cary, where the tracks split to go west to Greensboro/Charlotte, or south to Southern Pines and Florida.

Across the tracks, to the east, is the Southern Railway freight station. It was built in the 1920's, and currently is occupied as a business plaza.
