This sign as you can see belongs to Bun's Restaurant in Delaware, Ohio. This has always been one of my favorite signs, even as a kid, due to the unique way that it hangs from an arch over the road.

Bun's restaurant has been in Delaware since 1889, from what I've read. The building itself which Bun's occupies was built in 1888. On March 4, 2002, Bun's was completed destroyed in a fire that was later determined to be arson. To the best of my knowledge they never did catch the person responsible. Eventually the building was rebuilt, and Bun's has since reopened. You can read more about the fire, and view pictures here.

I remember visiting here as a kid with my family, but I don't remember much about it from that time. Shortly after I moved to Delaware in 2005, I visited here again. The food is pretty decent. It's mostly Italian type fare with a few other items thrown in there, in a casual atmosphere. One of the high points of Bun's is the bakery at the front of the restaurant where you can get fresh breads, and baked goods. I always manage to stuff myself beyond a desire for dessert, but I hear their fudge cake is one of the best desserts around.
