While the church was sold in 2019 to the adventure camp over the road (Quinney's Bush Camp) a clear sign on the former church signage states visiting is allowed. The church and cemetery are well maintained.

This community is within the Tasman District, and the following comes from their history website:
"Designed by Stead Ellis and built by Messrs. James Tomlinson and Son of Brightwater, the church originally had seating for 70, but was extended in 1910. The church site was gifted by F. Brewerton.

"Built in 1892, St George's Anglican Church and cemetery is on State Highway 6, at Motupiko. The church has a separate belfry at the rear of the property near the entry to the church building." [ex-St George's Church Motupiko
