Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in December of 2008 and further listed on the Tribal Register of Historic Places in 2011 the Red Barn holds significant cultural and historical value to the Seminoles of Brighton Reservation.

Built in 1941 by the Civilian Conservation Corps - Indian Division this is one of the few remaining buildings that the CCC-ID built. It is one of three NRHP listings in Glades County and the only one on the Brighton Reservation.

There are two historical markers on the property and visitors can view the barn from a large open field area. Like any historical site 'take photos and leave only footprints'. Please be respectful of the cultural/historical aspects of this property and the sovereignty of the Seminole Tribe.

Nearby is an additional historical marker indicating the site of Micco Camp. For further information on this location visit the following links.
