A clay, glass and tile mosaic wall depicting birds in flight. clay birds were made by students of brentwood elementary school and incorporated into the design. the lettering reads, "I will write peace on your wings and you will fly all over the world", a quote by sadako sasaki, a japanese victim of the bombing of hiroshima, who folded 1000 paper cranes for peace before she died.
this project was coordinated by jean graham, the same artist responsible for the wall of welcome mosaic several blocks away.
