XVII y XVIII."

"The main entrance opens with a square door without any ornamentation and leans to one side as if it didn't dare reveal itself; above it, in a closed cavity, there is a stone sculpture of the Virgin and Child, and above this, the only square window on the façade, very small in comparison to the proportions of the building, all of exposed brick and with little decoration, except for a cross in the central temple, which is raised to house the bells. There is no other opening other than this window. The bricks further enclose the structure of this cloistered convent.
Founded at the end of the 16th century, in the heart of the town, it underwent various renovations and changes. Suppressed as a convent during the confiscation of church property, it was reused as a prison, and much later became what it is today, an assembly hall. Of its former use, only the church remains, a single story with several side chapels; inside, the sculpture of the Virgin of Angustias and several paintings of indisputable beauty stand out. valuable, such as the one depicting the Immaculate Conception. Also worth seeing is the painting of Saint Elias, likely by Zurbarán or his school. The church also houses important pieces of Sevillian silverware from the 17th and 18th centuries.
