Located on the elevated observation platform overlooking the Fisheating Creek at the Fisheating Creek Wildlife Managament Area: East is a series of three flora and fauna signs. These signs depict Wildlife Throughout the Seasons at this location. They encompass both the wet prairie wildlife that one may encounter and also the floodplain marsh area wildlife.
If one hikes or bikes the trail to the historic fort and archaeological sites you will pass through the prairie area that can be both wet and dry depending on the season of the year. At the end of the trail you will encounter a floodplain marsh as the trail nears the Fisheating Creek. Kiosks are located along the trail with further information. The trail is approximately 4.5 miles long out and back. Take photos of the flora and fauna signs to refer to while exploring the wildlife management area.
