This is Checacupe, a nice little town in the mountains of the Cusco region in southern Peru.

Checacupe is a small town and one of the eight regions of this Canchis Province in the Cusco region. It is governed by Mayor Percy Cueva Bolaños, and sits at an altitude of about 3,446 m (11,306 ft). As of 2005, the town had a population of 5,650.
The sign sits in the town square, where a small park-like plot is bordered on one side by the Templo Virgen Imaculada Concepcion and on three sides by small stores and businesses and the police station.
