According to a story on the TXK Today website (see below), Miller County was designated a Purple Heart County in a presentation at the Miller County Courthouse in Texarkana on March 13, 2019. As of this posting, the population is a little over 40,000 people. In that regard, it's a comparatively small county, but there are probably a few of these signs to be found along county borders or around the courthouse.
