The main door is made of wood, with double leaves painted in brown, plated with metal, sewn with round-headed rivets. The façade presents remains of Romanesque style and pointed stone arches.

"The Church of Santa María de la Mota is located in the heart of the monumental area of ??Marchena, a few meters from the Puerta del Tiro, the Plaza Ducal and the Church of San Juan Bautista, attached to it is the Convent of La Purísima Conception.

First Christian-Castilian foundation, becoming the private chapel of the dukes inside their palatial residence.

It has two façades: the main one (most primitive) was restored in 2001 after many years of being bricked up, and presents remains of Romanesque style and stone pointed arches, and the secondary one is made of brick with pointed arches.

The Tower was built around 1560, supported by an Islamic tower that could have been part of the old mosque or the walled area of ??the Alcazaba.

The Mudejar coffered ceiling stands out as well as a high choir with a platform and wooden lattices where the ducal family sat during the liturgical festivals.

The Main Altarpiece is from the end of the 17th century, in whose central temple is the carving of the Virgin of La Mota from the 16th century.

The church is the headquarters of the Brotherhood of the Holy Burial (Cristo Yaciente by Jerónimo Hernández from 1575) and Virgen de la Soledad (Gaspar del Águila from 1570). "Both holders are found in side chapels."
