"The NINA Museum was created to preserve and celebrate the history of Civitella del Tronto: a royal city, a noble city, a frontier city, a city of great cultural and commercial exchanges. Initially, the acronym NACT was chosen, which stood for Nina, Creative Textile Arts: Nina is the diminutive of Gaetana Graziani Scesi, who was responsible for finding and preserving the pieces that gave life to the Museum, Creative Textile Arts, since they did not collect simple pieces of local weaving, but real masterpieces of international fashion, works of art in fabric, sewing and embroidery. Today, thanks to the many donations received, the Museum exhibits more than 3,000 pieces, relating to all the Decorative Arts, and for this reason, after the new exhibition recently inaugurated, it was decided to change the name to “NINA Civitella del Tronto Museum”
