The National Register's Registration Form (see below) notes that this Craftsman style home was built in 1931 for W.E. Williams, who owned the Williams Shoe Store on the Square, but otherwise says nothing about it specifically.
The Registration Form indicates that there are a total of 106 Craftsman residences in the district, with another 43 with influences of the style. This is a nice example, with a gabled roof, exposed rafters on the two sides, overhanging eaves, a wide front porch with square support columns and its own gabled roof extending from the house. The porch wraps around to one side, and has its own entry arch across from the main entrance. Unlike many others in the district, this one lacks siding and is bricked instead.
