"Tik pas Jona" (Only with Jonas) is a nice fishhouse in Nida, Lithuania
that mainly serves freshly smoked fish. Traditionally, the fish is eaten with a few slices of bread. And it is customary to eat it by hand, but you can also get a fork if you wish.
Freshly smoked fish leaves the smoker several times a day. When we were there
at around 12:30, 16:30 and 20:15. On the smoker you can read (in Lithuanian language) which species are offered today,
but fortunately there is also a list with all the species and their names in five different languages (Lithuanian, Russian, German, English and Latin).
There are a few tables under a roof, but most seats are outside with
umbrellas, if the sun is too bright. And from there you have a wonderful
view on the Curonian Lagoon.
