The Curonian Spit is a piece of land that separates the Curonian Lagoon from the Baltic Sea. One point of interest is the Parnidis Dune. Next to the beautiful big sundial there's a silver monocular, with which the landscape can be admired for two minutes with a € 2 coin. With good weather it is even possible to look to Russia, which is only about two kilometers away. The small information above the coin slot says:

Only 2€ coins accepted!

We wish you a pleasant experience!

Unfortunately it doesn't have a small platform for children. The monocular was manufactured by the company Uniwersal. Next to the monocular is a big information sign, that shows where the Russian border is and where it is not allowed to walk, as there is the Grobstas Strict Nature Reserve.
