"The Tui Municipal Theatre will begin its autumn season next Friday, October 4, with a programme that promises to attract both local audiences and visitors from Galicia and Portugal. With six shows on the billboard, the Tui Council is reinforcing its commitment to a quality cultural offering, which includes theatre and music for all ages, and which has become a benchmark in the province of Pontevedra.

The Mayor of Tui, Enrique Cabaleiro, highlighted during the presentation that "this agenda continues to be marked by its artistic relevance, being a reference both in Tui and in the whole of Galicia." In addition, he underlined the importance of this programme to attract audiences from various regions and consolidate Tui as a prominent cultural destination. The Councillor for Culture, Sonsoles Vicente, expressed her satisfaction with the diversity of the programme, which includes three shows for family audiences and three for adults.

The season will open with the family show "Entrecajas", by the Basque company Teatro Paraíso, on Friday, October 4. This clown show, awarded the FETÉN 2024 Award for Best Clown Show, celebrates the company's 45 years on stage, with a story where imagination and friendship are the protagonists.

Another family show will be "A trompa non só é cousa de elephantes", by Catro Cores, on Friday, October 18, a musical and theatrical work that will introduce the public to the fascinating world of the trompa, a musical instrument.

On Friday, November 8, the Elefante Elegante company will present "Kyoki," a show that, through a comic and poetic narrative, addresses themes such as memory and loneliness for the little ones.

For adult audiences, the play "Iribarne" by the ButacaZero company will be performed on Friday, November 11. According to Esther F. Carrodeguas, the play is "a satire that covers the history of Spain, with a critical and ironic look at politics and power."

On Friday, October 31, the Centro Dramático Galego will stage "Third Act", a profound reflection on old age and legacy, which combines humor and drama.

The season will conclude on Friday, November 15 with "Eu, engaño", the first work by Paula Pier. This poetry, music and dance show celebrates self-love and vitality, and features a cast led by Paula Pier and the Tudenses Chus López and Sandra Pérez.

Family shows will start at 7:00 p.m., while those aimed at adult audiences will begin at 9:00 p.m. Tickets are already available through the website tui.gal, with prices ranging from €3 to €10 depending on the show.

With this programme, the Tui City Council reaffirms its commitment to culture, consolidating the Tui Municipal Theatre as a reference space that attracts a loyal and diverse audience every year."
