This sign is located along Benham Falls Trail parking lot and footbridge.

Marker Name: Log Jam
Marker Text: Logs were intentionally jammed in front of the bridge during the 1920’s to protect its pilings from damage by floating objects. Logs were tied together, then anchored to other pilings to form a barrier. Over the years silt has deposited on and around the logs, allowing grass and small plants to grow.
