Ferns, Snuggle Low - Rivendell, NI, New Zealand - Flora and Fauna Information Signs on Waymarking.com

The Kaitoke Regional Park holds the natural environment of the film set for the 'Lord of the Rings' book/movie series. There is a short series of Fauna signs just after you cross over the suspension/swing pedestrian bridge. They are places on low square hardwood posts with a bevel for the colourful sign.

This one is titled: "FERNS like to Snuggle Down LOW".
While many of the x200 different types of ferns in New Zealand spread out on the ground, there are some that enjoy growing in trees, like the emblematic 'Silver Fern' that can be seen above the walk.
