El edificio sufrió en época Barroca una importante transformación que afecto a la planta de la nave, que fue ampliada y a los muros de todo el conjunto que sufrierón considerables sobreelevaciones, la cubierta de la Iglesia se realiza a dos aguas, a excepción de la torre que lo hace a cuatro con teja de cerámica.
La torre situada a los pies de la planta cuadrada y de grandes dimensiones fue mandada realizar en época renácentista con la familia de los Albornoz, señores de la Villa, a quien pertenecen los escudos que aparecen en ella.
Esta compuesta por zocalos y dos cuerpos, en el superior se habren los huecos para las campanas, una por cada cara. En el lado sur de la misma en el primer cuerpo, se abren tres saeteras para iluminar la escalera de acceso.
Cuenta con dos portadas la primera que se sitúa en el muro sur, aunque es en el Norte donde se conservan los restos de una antigua portada románica (cegada) que es uno de los escasos ejemplos que conserva capiteles figurados y arco de medio punto.
En su interior una sola nave de planta rectangular. Las pilastras adosadas dividen la nave en tres tramos y cubre bóveda de lunetos. Cornisas corrida, los contrafuertes interiores forman capillas".

"The 13th century Church shows an architectural factory with that majestic and well-proportioned rectangular block. It is simple and noble inside, ornamental simplicity matters.
The building underwent an important transformation in the Baroque period that affected the floor plan of the nave, which was enlarged and the walls of the entire complex that suffered considerable elevations. The roof of the Church is gabled, with the exception of the tower. who makes it four with ceramic tiles.
The tower located at the foot of the large square floor plan was ordered to be built in the Renaissance period with the Albornoz family, lords of the town, to whom the coats of arms that appear on it belong.
It is composed of plinths and two bodies, in the upper one there will be holes for the bells, one on each side. On the south side of it in the first body, three loopholes open to illuminate the access staircase.
It has two portals, the first one located on the south wall, although it is in the North where the remains of an old Romanesque portal (blinded) are preserved, which is one of the few examples that preserves figured capitals and a semicircular arch.
Inside there is a single nave with a rectangular floor plan. The attached pilasters divide the nave into three sections and cover a lunette vault. "Continuous cornices, the interior buttresses form chapels."
