The building was erected near the entrance to Myrtle Park in 1927 by the then Bingley Urban District Council
In recent years it has simply been called 'Bingley Pool' although there was also a gym in the building.
The town of Bingley falls under the area of Bradford City Metropolitan District Council and due to funding problems throughout the district the building closed in 2020 due to lack of funds.
