This memorial is a plaque and clock tower dedicated to the lives lost, the families, and the heros of 9/11. The dedication states that the carillon rings each day to remind us that we are proud to be Americans. A true carillon is made up of 23 bronze bells. I have not heard this tower ring, so I am unsure if it is a true carillon, or a more simpler bell tower. The plaque is very beautiful though.
Date of Dedication: 09/14/2003
Name of organization that built the memorial: The Churchville Beautification Committee
Private or Public Monument?: Government
Text on the memorial: Dedicated in Memory of September 11, 2001. This clock tower is dedicated today, September 14, 2003 to the many lives, their families, and the heros of that horrific day, September 11, 2001. Every day the carillon rings reminding us that we are proud to be in America, our land of freedom and opportunity. Embedded in the foundation of this tower is an artifact from the World Trade Center in NYC.
