Huatulco, formally Bahías de Huatulco, centered on the town of La Crucecita, is a tourist development in Mexico. It is located on the Pacific coast in the state of Oaxaca. Huatulco's tourism industry is centered on its nine bays, thus the name Bahías de Huatulco, but has since been unofficially shortened to simply Huatulco. In addition to the beaches, there are small communities of Bahias de Huatulco, such as Santa Cruz, La Crucecita, or old Santa María Huatulco (the municipal seat). (visit link)

1. Playa Santa Cruz: N 15° 45.232 W 96° 07.833
The beach of Santa Cruz is a very popular beach and it is often busy even in low season. It is probably the calmest sea of the Oaxacan coast. It is also easily accessible, it is close to La Cruzacita, where all major tours and cruises depart. There are many restaurants with umbrellas, tables, and chairs and watersports facilities such as banana boats.

2. Capella de Santa Cruz: N 15° 45.229 W 96° 07.862
The Chapel of the Holy Cross, also known as the Chapel of the Millenary Holy Cross of Huatulco, is a small Roman Catholic temple located in the Bay of Santa Cruz in Huatulco. The Chapel was built in 1998 according to the plans of the architects Alfredo Ovando Vela and Ana Ma. Cuevas Moreno. Due to its location and its peculiarity of not having doors, allowing you to enjoy the view of the ocean and the beach, the chapel is coveted by Mexican and foreign couples who come every year to get married there.

3. Port of Santa Cruz: N 15° 45.280 W 096° 07.900
The Huatulco Fiesta Catamaran Boat Tour offers cruises on Huatulco's impressive coastline and the opportunity to visit unspoilt beaches and the seven bays of Huatulco as well as the possibility to dive in crystal-clear waters surrounded by coral reefs or relax on some of the quieter beaches of the Pacific Ocean.

4. Hotel Castillo Huatulco: N 15° 45.361 W 96° 07.937
