The Independence Museum was inaugurated in 2014, hosted in a spectacular building constructed for such purpose.

The collection is fully dedicated to the struggle of the native peoples to gain independence after centuries of dominance by Dutch, Germans, British and South Africans.

It has some interesting aspects, although the space available seems to be too wide for the gathered collection. Nevertheless, a "mandatory" visit to anyone passing in Windhoek. The entrance is free.
