Dos campanarios de planta cuadrada, uno en cada extremo de la Catedral, no se aprecia bien, pero creo que tan solo hay dos campanas en la torre derecha.
"La Catedral San Fernando Rey de la ciudad de Resistencia, en Argentina, es la sede del Arquidiócesis de Resistencia. Está a la cabeza de una provincia eclesiástica que abarca las provincias del Chaco y de Formosa. Fue construida en la década de 1930.
Cuando en 1875 se realizó la mensura de la Colonia Resistencia, se reservaron los terrenos para la ejecución del templo en pleno centro de la nueva ciudad, frente a la plaza principal; tal como era costumbre en ese entonces. Pero fue recién en 1882, cuatro años después de la llegada del primer contingente de inmigrantes italianos, que comenzaron a erigir una construcción precaria, con materiales de deshecho, y con pequeñas contribuciones del Gobierno Nacional.
Años después, en 1888, el Gobernador Antonio Dónovan otorgó un nuevo impulso a los trabajos, contando con la colaboración de la Sociedad de Damas de Beneficencia. Así es que el 25 de Mayo se colocó la piedra fundamental.
Los trabajos se demoraron, pero el gobernador Enrique Luzuriaga, en 1893, continuó con la obra. Un año más tarde la nave principal estaba techada, se colocó el piso de baldosas y se comenzó a construir la vereda. Se continuó con la edificación de las naves laterales, bajo un proyecto y dirección de obra del ingeniero Juan Col.
El 9 de julio de 1889, se realizó el acto de inauguración de la iglesia en la actual calle Fray Justo Santa María de Oro N°60, sin que todos los trabajos previstos estuviesen terminados. Estos culminarían en los próximos años: nave central, bautisterio, presbiterio, sacristía, naves laterales y torres.
En 1900 se creó definitivamente la Parroquia San Fernando con jurisdicción en todo el territorio, y el 3 de junio de 1939, el Papa Pío XII, emitió la Bula Ecclesiarum Omnium, por la cual erigía la Diócesis de Resistencia, con jurisdicción sobre los territorios de Chaco y Formosa, designando a Monseñor Nicolás de Carlo como obispo. La iglesia catedral de Resistencia es Patrimonio Cultural de la Provincia a través del Decreto N°771 de 1999, por ser la parroquia más antigua del Chaco".

Two square bell towers, one at each end of the Cathedral, are not clearly visible, but I think there are only two bells in the right tower.
"The San Fernando Rey Cathedral in the city of Resistencia, Argentina, is the headquarters of the Archdiocese of Resistencia. It is at the head of an ecclesiastical province that encompasses the provinces of Chaco and Formosa. It was built in the 1930s.
When the survey of Colonia Resistencia was carried out in 1875, the land was reserved for the construction of the temple in the heart of the new city, in front of the main square; just as was customary back then. But it was only in 1882, four years after the arrival of the first contingent of Italian immigrants, that they began to erect a precarious construction, with waste materials, and with small contributions from the National Government.
Years later, in 1888, Governor Antonio Dónovan gave a new impetus to the work, with the collaboration of the Ladies' Beneficence Society. So on May 25 the foundation stone was laid.
The work was delayed, but Governor Enrique Luzuriaga, in 1893, continued the work. A year later the main nave was roofed, the tiled floor was laid and the sidewalk began to be built. The construction of the side naves continued, under a project and construction direction by engineer Juan Col.
On July 9, 1889, the inauguration ceremony of the church was held on the current Fray Justo Santa María de Oro street N°60, without all the planned work being completed. These would culminate in the coming years: central nave, baptistery, presbytery, sacristy, side naves and towers.
In 1900, the San Fernando Parish was definitively created with jurisdiction over the entire territory, and on June 3, 1939, Pope Pius XII issued the Bull Ecclesiarum Omnium, by which he established the Diocese of Resistencia, with jurisdiction over the territories of Chaco and Formosa, appointing Monsignor Nicolás de Carlo as bishop. The cathedral church of Resistencia is Cultural Heritage of the Province through Decree No. 771 of 1999, for being the oldest parish in Chaco."
