This train station was built by the Germans in 1912 - a time when Namibia was a German colony. It was then expanded in 1929, already under South African administration.
It's a quite spot, a nice place to visit in the city, specially because there is a number of rolling stock outside.
There aren't many trains running in Namibia these days but still some services are active.
