The Wind Point Police Department provides professional police services in the Village of Wind Point and in the Village of North Bay, in conjunction with the Racine County Sheriff’s Department. Wind Point Police operates out of the lighthouse building (4725 Lighthouse Dr.) with limited office hours.-Wind Point PD

Wind Point is a small village located on Lake Michigan between Chicago and Milwaukee. Population is approximately 1600. The unique part of this police department is they operate out of a lighthouse. Wind Point Light was built in 1880 and when it was automated in 1964 it was turned over to the Coast Guard. They have since returned it to the village. City Hall and the Police Department both operate out of the former lighthouse keeper's quarters at 4725 Lighthouse Dr, Racine, WI 53402.
Type: Main Office (HQ Building)

Visit Instructions:
To log a visit, you must post a photo of you in front of the building described, with your GPS in the photo. No drive by photos.

I have had NO problems with taking photos of Police stations but please respect the fact that some services may be nervous about having their photo taken and inquire as to why... I have found that once things are explained they are more than happy to let me photograph the building, crest, chief... (they are people too!)
