"The Temple and Convent of La Merced, of Neoclassical style, originally housed the Mercedarians from 1635 until the confiscation of 1835. The factory of its church has a rectangular plan with an important central nave and sides with several chapels. The transept is wide, the left arm opening to a spacious tabernacle, it has a high presbytery with fresco paintings and, like those in the upper part of the arms of the transept, they refer to the order of the Mercenaries and its founders. Its dome covered with Blue and white glazed tiles with the large shield on its façade, preserved in good condition.
Hospice and Convent of Observant Franciscans, founded in 1751, the Church is of the same style as that of La Merced, and an analogous layout, although of a later date and smaller. Built on a hill, it has a slender bell tower, which becomes a landmark that dominates the western part of the Utileno hamlet".
