The various CCC camps that camped and worked in the Lee Creek Valley built several cabins and other structures specifically with the Devil's Den State Park in mind. The cabins were built out of native stone and wood in a rustic style to match the countryside. Two of the cabins have burned over the years but the rest are maintained by the state park. The interiors were remodeled in the early 1970s but retain the same style as the original.
These cabins can be rented on a daily basis by contacting the Devils Den State Park administration at (479) 761-3325. There are several hiking trails ranging from one quarter mile in length to over 15 miles. There are caves to explore and interpretive history tours. A swimming pool is open during the summer months.
The coordinates given will take you to a vantage point for two of the cabins, but others can be easily seen by driving around the area. Be sure to visit the camp area where the camp buildings once stood. Get an intrepretive guide at the visitor center to locate CCC structures and remains all over the park. Have fun, and appreciate the park and the work of the campers.
