This bench mark is cut into a block in a Granite wall on the North lower slopes of Rippon Tor, Ilsington Parish, Dartmoor, Devon. It is in the wall that runs from the cattle grid at Hemsworthy gate running South East on the NE side of Rippon Tor. It is on the East side of the wall. It is shown on the 1889 OS map of Devon.
