Solitaire is quite a place! Lost in the middle of nowhere - adequate name then - it's an oasis for people traveling across Namibia, a place to fill up vehicles deposits, having a tyre fixed, eat something, rest for a bit. It's just a hamlet but there is a small local population and this church is the only spiritual temple existing in the area.

It was build in 1951 and accordingly to Wikipedia "The small Dutch-Reformed church is still in use by the local congregation. The church building is also used as a community meeting place, holding Farmer's Union meetings, elections, and health clinics."
