Osage Hills State Park, between Pawhuska and Bartlesbille, covers about 1100 acres. Recreational activities include tennis, swimming, fishing, hiking, and biking. There are both individual cabins and group cabins available for rent. There is no entry fee, but there is a per-car parking fee (which is waived for veterans and seniors). This is the place to be if you want to unplug and spend your day hiking through the woods.

Background:
Osage Hills State Park is one of the seven original parks constructed for the State of Oklahoma by members of the Civilian Conservation Corps; construction began in 1935. The original buildings were constructed from locally-harvested timber and stone; most have now been replaced with more modern facilities but some of the original CCC work still stands. Activites here include camping, swimming, fishing, hiking, biking, and tennis.
