Beautiful Zinc headstone in old cemetery

This Zinc headstone is located in Pine Grove Cemetery, south of Davison, Michigan. The headstone is for Palmer D. Hoyle who passed away on April 13th, 1887, at the age of 41.

Hoyle was a member of the 30th Michigan Infantry Volunteers during the Civil War and was discharged June 23, 1865.

The monument is beautiful being adorned with several flower motifs. Unfortunately the top of the spire fell off. The monument was placed in 1888.
