This is a standard model of short obelisk, with common detail and a shroud around the top of the shaft, which also has a wreath of flowers, a lamb -- denoting youth -- a cross with a wreath of flowers, and a cherub. The family name is on the front, with Mrs. Sherrill's panel reading:

Mrs. Sherrill's husband, Hugh Litton Sherrill, remarried after her passing, and he is buried with his second wife elsewhere in the cemetery, Given the lack of dates for the infant, this is probably a case where mother and child did not survive the birth process.
