[ENG] "The Main Library of the Medical University of Warsaw (WUM) is a university-wide organizational unit performing scientific, teaching and service functions. Its basic task is to provide research workers and students of the University with the widest possible access to information about national and world achievements in medicine and related sciences. The Main Library consists of four basic branches:
- Collection and Processing Department – acquisition and processing of library materials,

- Library Process Automation Department - handling all processes related to the library system, digitization and reprography."

Podstawowym jej zadaniem jest zapewnienie pracownikom naukowym i studentom Uczelni jak najszerszego dostepu do informacji o krajowych i swiatowych osiagnieciach w medycynie i naukach pokrewnych. - Oddzial Gromadzenia i Opracowania Zbiorów – pozyskiwanie i opracowanie materialów bibliotecznych,
- Oddzial Udostepniania Zbiorów – udostepnianie prezencyjne zbiorów oraz obsluga wypozyczen, w tym realizacja zlecen kierowanych do Wypozyczalni Miedzybibliotecznej,
- Oddzial Informacji Naukowej – realizacja uslug w ramach szeroko pojetej informacji naukowej oraz promocja zasobów i uslug bibliotecznych,
- Oddzial Automatyzacji Procesów Bibliotecznych - obsluga wszystkich procesów zwiazanych z systemem bibliotecznym, digitalizacja i reprografia."
