The ramp itself is fairly new but the water levels are often so low that boats must be launched off the lakeshore. There is camping nearby and a single chemical toilet at the parking lot.
Local fishery biologists are determined to turn this marsh back into a lake but are having very little success. The lake is choked with hydrilla and emergent plants grow throughout the entire waterbody.
