The church tower is a belfry with a double span and two bells.
It ends in a pinnacle and is an example of the popular Galician style.

"Parish Church of Santiago de Rubiás , 14th and 18th centuries, Romanesque and popular styles. Located in the center of the core. On the walls of the Sacristy, twelve life-size paintings were discovered, late Gothic between the 15th and 16th centuries, representing scenes of religious iconography ( (visit link) ). This temple, which was originally a Romanesque Chapel, was later attached to the current temple whose atrium was the Parliament of the Couto Mixto."
