"San Pedro de San Pedro de Ribes es una obra del municipio de San Pedro de Ribes (Garraf) incluida en el Inventario del Patrimonio Arquitectónico de Cataluña .

Se trata de un edificio de grandes dimensiones de planta rectangular, de aproximadamente 47x26 metros. Tiene tres naves y columnas octogonales de piedra picada con capiteles de piedra artificial.

Su fachada, simétrica y dividida en sectores verticales, presenta elementos característicos del vocabulario gótico. La puerta de acceso es de arco apuntado, en la parte superior hay un rosetón y la terminación es a dos vertientes.

A los lados de este cuerpo central, se elevan las dos torres gemelas que caracterizan al templo, que son ochavadas, divididas en tres cuerpos y con aberturas de arco apuntado.

La construcción de la nueva iglesia parroquial de San Pedro de Ribes se realizó a iniciativa de Francesc Marcer i Oliver , que costeó íntegramente la obra. La primera piedra se colocó el 5 de julio de 1903.

El primer campanario se finalizó el 17 de abril de 1909 y el templo se terminó definitivamente el 4 de septiembre de 1910, fecha en que se inauguró, convirtiéndose en la iglesia parroquial de la población, en sustitución de la iglesia vieja de San Pedro Ribes , situada junto al castillo de Ribes .

En 1922 se instalaron dos campanas nuevas, pagadas por Manel Bertran y Miret, ribetano residente en Cuba."

"San Pedro de San Pedro de Ribes is a work of the municipality of San Pedro de Ribes (Garraf) included in the Inventory of the Architectural Heritage of Catalonia.

It is a large building with a rectangular floor plan, approximately 47x26 meters. It has three naves and octagonal columns of chopped stone with artificial stone capitals.

Its façade, symmetrical and divided into vertical sectors, presents characteristic elements of the Gothic vocabulary. The access door has a pointed arch, at the top there is a rose window and the finish is on two slopes.

On the sides of this central body, rise the two twin towers that characterize the temple, which are octagonal, divided into three bodies and with pointed arch openings.

The construction of the new parish church of San Pedro de Ribes was carried out at the initiative of Francesc Marcer i Oliver, who fully paid for the work. The first stone was laid on July 5, 1903.

The first bell tower was completed on April 17, 1909 and the temple was definitively finished on September 4, 1910, the date on which it was inaugurated, becoming the parish church of the town, replacing the old church of San Pedro Ribes. located next to the Ribes castle.

In 1922 two new bells were installed, paid for by Manel Bertran y Miret, a Ribetano resident in Cuba."
