The popular restaurant Interurban is located at the northwest corner of Danforth and Bryant in Edmond.

Crews battled flames that were seen shooting from the roof of a popular Edmond restaurant early Monday morning.
The fire started around 3 a.m. at Interurban near Danforth Road and Bryant Avenue. When crews arrived, they immediately started attacking the fire by going inside the building.
Once inside, authorities said crews put out the fire in less than an hour. The majority of the damage was to the restaurant's roof.
The Edmond Fire Department is working to determine what caused the flames.
"Investigators are in there doing their work," Chris Denton, with the Edmond Fire Department, said. "They're going to make their determination on what actually started this fire, whether it started on the inside or outside."
Considering how much fire and smoke came out of the business when crews arrived, authorities said they are glad the damage wasn't worse.
The restaurant is in a strip mall with several other businesses. Firefighters kept the flames from spreading.
Interurban will be closed on Friday.
