Užupis is also known as the Republic of the Artists. The nation is located in Vilnius, it has different accesses but the Užupio bridge is the most common.

It has its own Constitution, anthem, currency and even a stamp to the passports of visitors. The statue of the Angel of Užupis symbolizes the independence of the area. It covers an area of 0,6 km2. In many ways it resembles the more famous Christiania, in Copenhagen.
