"Gothic temple from the 15th century, large dimensions and very simple, almost defensive shapes - it is next to the castle -, with a single nave 19 meters wide. This fact makes it, together with the Cathedral of Girona, the largest in the Spanish Gothic. It has a cross vault and three pentagonal apses reinforced by thick buttresses. On the outside, its flared façade with pointed arch and archivolts draws attention. It has sculpted capitals of very varied themes - plant motifs, fantastic animals, human figures... - but they are very deteriorated. A similar fate befell the Virgin and Child on the tympanum, destroyed during the Civil War. The interior is very sober, a common characteristic in the Gothic of the Levant, and several Romanesque details in several chapels barely stand out. Their use as a warehouse and workshop in the Civil War it decimated much of the heritage it had."
