Escultura de Jesucristo crucificado realizada en acero por Gilmar Pinna en junio de 1994 y donándola a Ilhabela.
El cómo llegó esta escultura a estar aquí tiene su historia:
"Cruzeiro na Vila fue colocado frente a la parroquia en 1908, por el padre Paschoal Reale, párroco responsable de la iglesia entre 1904 y 1923.
La obra realizada en madera ilustraba el terreno de la capilla y así era, siendo modificada año tras año por el paso del tiempo que comprometía la pieza. La foto de esta publicación (web) fue tomada en 1948 por Edith Jechow Magrini.
Uno de los últimos registros del 'Cruzeiro' de madera se puede ver en la película “Caiçara”, filmada por la Compañía de Vera Cruz en Ilhabela, en 1950; Período parroquial de Fray Adriano Koerner, considerado en la historia la fase más intensa de restauraciones realizadas en la iglesia parroquial.
En 1952, el consejo pro-matriz presidido por Leonardo Reale decidió restaurarlo sustituyendo la madera por cemento, inaugurándolo en diciembre de ese mismo año. Con esto, la Cámara de Ilhabela aprobó un proyecto de ley, considerando el dos de febrero como feriado municipal, como día de la Patrona de la ciudad.
En septiembre de 1953, el terreno frente a la iglesia donde se ubica el Cruzeiro pasó a denominarse oficialmente “Praça Alfredo Oliani”, en homenaje al escultor por el trabajo realizado en la parroquia... 32 años fueron dedicados a la iglesia de la isla, desde 1944 hasta 1976.
En junio de 1994, el artista Gilmar Pinna, de Ilhabela, realizó una obra que reproduce la imagen de Jesucristo, donándola a la matriz de Nossa Senhora d'Ajuda e Bonsucesso. La escultura fue fijada en 'Cruzeiro' con una celebración acompañada de autoridades locales y sociedad civil."

How this sculpture came to be here has its story:
"Cruzeiro na Vila was placed in front of the parish in 1908, by Father Paschoal Reale, parish priest responsible for the church between 1904 and 1923.
The work made of wood illustrated the terrain of the chapel and so it was, being modified year after year due to the passage of time that compromised the piece. The photo in this publication (web) was taken in 1948 by Edith Jechow Magrini.
