La position élevée de l'église paroissiale de St. Laurentius sur le bord du village de Tengen fait référence à son ancienne fonction d'église fortifiée fortifiée. The elevated position of the parish church of St. Laurentius on the edge of the village of Tengen refers to its former function as a fortified fortified church. The core of the current building is in the early Gothic style (13th century), as evidenced by the small pointed arch windows walled in on the south wall. Several renovations have profoundly modified Saint-Laurent: the new tower (1518), a complete renovation with baroque alterations (around 1730), restorations (1880, 1909), a massive expansion by the construction of a new choir, a transept and a sacristy (1929/30) and, finally, the elevation of the tower (1934).

Outside, at the tower of the St. Laurentius Church, you find the Oelberg grouping: Jesus Christ with angel (presumably a work by Daniel Schenk, around 1650).
