This former railway station is located in Louisbourg, Nova Scotia and was formerly part of the Sydney & Louisburg Railway. The property is a designated heritage place. Built in 1895 the station was built in the Gothic Revival style connected Lousibourg to Sydney and Glace Bay. The Sydney & Louisburg Railway mostly operated in shipping coal from the mines around Cape Breton.

The station closed in 1968 when the coal industry declined, the rest of the railway soon folded as well, briefly becoming a tourist line during the mid-1970s. Thankfully the station was converted into a museum as it is the last remaining station from the railway. It was designated a historic site in 1989.

Station circa 1927, (visit link) note the cannons are still there today.
