"El Remei is a chapel in the division of terms between Santa Maria and Sant Esteve de Palautordera. Its origin must be sought at the beginning of the 16th century, when a church dedicated to Saint Sebastian was built. This chapel is still preserved but is in the another corner of the road. Between 1792 and 1800, a new sanctuary, the current one, was built. The original one in which the brotherhood of Nuestra Señora del Remedio had been established at the end of the 16th century was abandoned.

Religious building with a single nave. The exterior is made of masonry. The façade has a lowered arch, made of ashlar. Above there is a porthole. The façade is plastered and whitewashed, there is a ceramic tile image of the Virgen del Remedio. The interior has a Latin cross plan, with a dome in the center. The presbytery has a transept and three bodies. On the sides of the transept there are two stained glass windows with the images of Saint Sebastian (left) and Saint Erasmus (right)."
