"Iglesia románica de los siglos XII y XIII con vestigios prerrománicos. Consta de dos naves y de un transepto que no sobresale; tienen cubiertas de bóvedas de cañón apuntadas sobre arcos torales; están separadas por pilares cruciformes y arcos formeros de punto redondo de herradura con impostas, detalle éste que hace pensar en una época retranqueada anterior al románico; el transepto tiene una vuelta algo más alta que las naves. La nave mayor o de tramontana está copada por un ábside semicircular sobrepasado, rebozado por fuera y eso esconde las posibles decoraciones que pudiera tener; también los demás muros exteriores están enlucidos. La nave meridional no tiene ábside y su cabecera recta hace de base en el campanario. Sus muros presentan un enlucido por fuera y paramentos de sillares irregulares, medios y dispuestos en hiladas por el interior.
La iglesia fue modificada en el siglo XVIII con una portalada clasicizante encarada a poniente situada asimétricamente respecto del eje del frontis; tiene un portal rectangular con la fecha de 1781 grabada en el dintel; unas pilastras adosadas a los montantes, un entablamento, una hornacina con imagen, dos grandes óculos a media altura y una ventanilla en forma de cruz en el centro; en ese momento del siglo XVIII el edificio fue sobrealzado hecho que se distingue en el muro del frontis ya que éste es de mampostería vista y el sobrealzado se encuentra enlucido bajo la cornisa angular; además de los cambios señalados, hay que añadir unas capillas laterales por la esquina norte. El portal lateral románico del muro sur tiene tres arquivoltas de medio punto, dintel y, encima, el tímpano desnudo.
Dimensiones de la nave mayor, lado norte: 22'00 x 5'50 x 7'80 metros respectivamente de largo, ancho y alto; las de la nave sur son: 18'90 x 4'58 x 8'47 metros; la anchura total de las dos naves y desde el fondo de las capillas laterales mide 14'50 metros.
Guarda un fregadero bautismal de boca circular con el exterior ochavado; el pie es también ochavado y estrangulado; debe tratarse de una pieza renacentista.
Campanario con base románica; el cuerpo superior con la celda es seguramente del siglo XVIII y el tejado del XX. Tiene planta cuadrada (5'40 x 5'40 m), una moldura a media altura, un alero bajo el cuerpo de las campanas por el lado del mediodía y la celda con dos ventanas de arco de medio punto en cada cara con barandilla, mitad de obra, mitad metálica. Está coronado por una aguja piramidal recubierta de piezas vidriadas en verde oscuro, un pináculo en la cima y unas lucanas en su base, una en cada cara menos en el norte."

The Romanesque side portal on the south wall has three semicircular archivolts, a lintel and, above, the bare tympanum.
