"Sant Esteve de Palautordera es una iglesia parroquial en el municipio de Sant Esteve de Palautordera (Vallès Oriental) incluida en el Inventario del Patrimonio Arquitectónico de Cataluña.
Edificio religioso de mampostería y con palés. En las paredes exteriores del norte y sur existen restos de arcuaciones ciegas que, sin duda, junto con la pared donde se encuentran, son restos de la iglesia del siglo XI-XII. Tiene una portada del siglo xvi con uvas de columnas muy estilizadas y fuste delgado. El campanario tiene un solo cuerpo, es cuadrangular, muy macizo, de gran superficie y poca altura. Está coronado por almenas de ladrillo y una pirámide cuadrangular rebozada con cemento. Se levanta sobre el crucero de la iglesia que se cierra con cuatro conchas que le sirven de base. En el interior sólo hay una nave, el presbiterio y tres cuerpos. Originalmente tenía tres ábsides, pero ahora solo hay uno.
La portada del siglo xvi está decorada con elementos figurativos. En los capiteles hay unas cabezas de ángeles con sus alas exteriores a ambos lados. El trasdós se apoya en unas ménsulas, una a cada lado. La de la derecha representa el cabo de Sant Pere, la de la izquierda el de Sant Pau. Sobre la llave hay un florón que sirve de coronamiento.
En la capilla izquierda hay una hornacina con la imagen de Nuestra Señora de Gracia, de estilo plateresco, del siglo xvi .
La primera referencia de la parroquia de San Esteban aparece en la visita del 6 de diciembre de 1305. Aunque la documentación es del 862, existen documentos en esta época que hablan de la iglesia.
Por estos documentos se sabe que el conde Sunyer II vendió el lugar a Trasovad hacia el 900 y éste en 908 lo vendió a Guifré Borrell , conde de Barcelona, ??quien lo cedió al poco tiempo al monasterio de Sant Cugat . Debido a esto, el dominio de la parroquia fue siempre de los abades de Sant Cugat y, a partir de 1215, de la administración de Sant Cugat, dicha pavordía de Palau o de Palautordera . La parroquia estaba regida por dos domers o dos sacerdotes que se alternaban en el servicio parroquial. "

Inside there is only a nave, the presbytery and three bodies. It originally had three apses, but now there is only one.
The 16th century doorway is decorated with figurative elements. On the capitals there are heads of angels with their outer wings on both sides. The backrest is supported by brackets, one on each side. The one on the right represents Cape Sant Pere, the one on the left that of Sant Pau. Above the key there is a finial that serves as a crown.
In the left chapel there is a niche with the image of Our Lady of Grace, in Plateresque style, from the 16th century.
The first reference to the parish of San Esteban appears in the visit of December 6, 1305. Although the documentation dates back to 862, there are documents from this time that talk about the church.
